| CVA Film and Television was formed in 1988 by two prominent Australian producers, initially to service the broadcast televsiion sector. There followed a period of rapid growth and diversification, culminating in the establishment of CVA Singapore to reflect the organisations changed focus and its new commitment to servicing clients from the regional hub.
Current Executive Producer Derek Longhurst started his television career with BBC TV in London, where he worked as a writer, producer and director in science and informational programming for a period of six years. He was then recruited by ABC TV in Australia as a series producer before leaving to join CVA.
He has produced several hundred corporate videos and television programmes, including a number of award-winning productions in Singapore, most notably Changi Airport 7am for the CAAS, and Tourism 21 for the STB. He also created the series One Small Island for Arts Central, Kids in Charge and Art Factory for TV12, and Breakthrough for CNA. |
